Zinny actually started out behind the drums, but after seven years he
picked up the microphone. In 1982 he joined glam rockers Easy Action and
recorded one album before he quit. He now teamed up with sleaze rockers
Kingpin, previously known as Shylock. They recorded som highly acclaimed
demos, from which some of the songs would appear on the bands debut "Welcome
To Bop City". The style was guitar dominated hard rock with glammish
overtones. "Welcome..." was first released under the Kingpin
banner, but in 1988 the band moved to the U.S. The album was re-issued
the year after by Relativity Records under the band's new band Shotgun
Messiah. When Zinny was sacked/left Shotgun Messiah he formed the band
Grand Slam with Fredrik (Vildsvin) and Marthin Thomander (Electric Boys)
on bass and guitar respectively.

The drummer was Jake Samuel (Yale Bate,
Talisman, now Jekyll & Hyde). The band however split and Zinny took
a long vacation before he started doing cover gigs with the boys that
later became Zan Clan. The debut is a mid class rocker with influences
from rock, sleaze, traditional hard rock and all kind of directions. Zinny
and his clan-members were finishing up the recordings of a new album in
March 1996, due to be released later this year. I have heard some rough
mixes and it actually sounds quite promising. Watch out for the track
"Grin And Bear It".
