Webmasters Review: DAS CABAL - DEMO

Well, what I've heard of - Rhino Bucket was an AC/DC rip-off band, but I haven't heard 'em. Georg Dolivo was the singer in Rhino Bucket and here he is calling the shots together with Harry Cody. And the result? I really don't know...

The songs isn't really there. The production is of 'V.N.B.'/Skold-style (geetar and vocals backed up with machines), so maybe the songs doesn't fit with this production. Hard to tell. It sounds weird.

And I do NOT like Mr. Dolivos vocals. As I said; I haven't heard him before - but it sounds, partly, like he's trying to sound like Tim Skold, or Trent Rezno, but more strained and partly out of tune.

And another thing that sounds a little bit odd in my ears is that the vocal sound isn't processed at all and that doesn't seem to fit either to the industrial sound that Das Cabal is trying to create. Industry music should have industry processed vocals, that's it.

Harry's definitely there, but not too many guitar solos.

According to Dolivo in an interview somewhere on the net, he claimed that Das Cabal broke up because of Harry refusing to play live. Maybe he just came to his senses and refused to play this particular crap live. Sounds reasonable to me.
